I choose new responses, even when old patterns feel familiar.
Today, I want to honor every woman who carries love in her heart.
To the mothers raising children, even when you’re exhausted, but still welcoming with open arms
To the women grieving a child they carried, loved, or wished for
To the mothers whose children are now held in memory and spirit
To the women who quietly ache for the child they never had
To the women who chose a different path and share their love with friends, family, community, art, healing, and care
To the aunties, mentors, grandmothers, bonus moms, and all who nurture
I see you. Your love matters, and your care makes a difference.
Also, your presence leaves an impact on this world that can’t be measured.
Mother’s Day can bring both joy and gratitude. It can also bring grief, longing, relief, confusion, tenderness, or even silence. It’s okay to feel more than one thing at once.
Today, may you be gentle with yourself. I hope you find rest without guilt. I hope you feel loved in the ways you need most.
And I hope every woman remembers this: You don’t have to give birth to bring life to others. Love shows up in many ways. And every one of them matters.
Love

P.S. Missing my mommy today. I checked on her. She’s out galavanting with her friends. I’m happy for her; she deserves it.
Your girl has a podcast. I let go of perfection and started sharing, mistakes and all. It’s here, and I’d love for you to listen. If it speaks to you, subscribe and let me know what you think.
